Richard (Riku) Lätti is a South African artist whose work moves freely between philosophy, music, film, literature, and the digital world. Born and educated in South Africa, Lätti studied at the University of the Witwatersrand, completing a BA in 1995followed by an Honours degree in Philosophy in 1996. His debut book Taboek, published in 2024, reflects on the tensions between tradition and freedom, belief and doubt, language and identity. His essays and poems have appeared in publications such as LitNet, Die Vrye Weekblad, and various anthologies. Across these texts, he often returns to a central theme: the search for authenticity in a complex and rapidly changing world.
